When It’s Time to Throw a Punch

Review this week’s message.

Key Scriptures

“The LORD is a warrior; the LORD is his name.”
Exodus 15:3 NIV

“Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.”
Matthew 10:34 NIV

I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and wages war. His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. ... He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God. ... Coming out of his mouth is a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. ... On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written: king of kings and lord of lords.
Revelation 19:11-13, 15-16 NIV

... “Don’t be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, who is great and awesome, and fight for your families, your sons and your daughters, your wives and your homes.”
Nehemiah 4:14 NIV

“Be strong, and let us fight bravely for our people and the cities of our God. ...”
2 Samuel 10:12 NIV

When Jesus had called the Twelve together, he gave them power and authority to drive out all demons and to cure diseases, and he sent them out to proclaim the kingdom of God and to heal the sick.
Luke 9:1-2 NIV

Praise be to the LORD my Rock, who trains my hands for war, my fingers for battle.
Psalm 144:1 NIV

Say to the nations far and wide: “Get ready for war! Call out your best warriors. Let all your fighting men advance for the attack. Hammer your plowshares into swords and your pruning hooks into spears. Train even your weaklings to be warriors. Come quickly, all you nations everywhere. Gather together in the valley.” And now, O LORD, call out your warriors!
Joel 3:9-11 NLT
