Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do I need to be a Christian to work at Life.Church?

As a religious organization, we make hiring and employment decisions in alignment with our religious beliefs. All Life.Church employees must be Christian, and as such, must consistently seek to live by biblical standards and agree to demonstrate unity within the church with a humble and teachable spirit. We also ask for alignment with our beliefs.

  • Do I need to make Life.Church my church home?

We hope and expect each staff member is excited about what God is doing through Life.Church. We ask our employees to commit to partner with Life.Church by attending Life.Church consistently, being involved in a LifeGroup, serving in a Life.Church ministry, and tithing.

  • What's the difference between a Central and pastoral role?

Life.Church Central Offices support the ministry and operational aspects for all teams and locations including central ministry direction such as IT, HR, etc.

At Life.Church, we’re passionate about reaching more people in more communities. Each LIfe.Church location has a team of pastors who are responsible for their location’s day to day and weekend operations.

When hired for a campus role, new team members begin their journey at an existing Life.Church location to learn the culture and systems of our church from experienced pastors already on the team. Our hope is as we continue to open new locations, we can send pastors who are ready to lead on day one, because of what they’ve learned at an existing location in preparation.

  • Do you have internship opportunities?

Yes! We offer programs tailored to students and recent graduates. Learn more about our Internship Program.

  • What if I need work authorization or sponsorship?

All Life.Church employees need to have current work authorization to work in the U.S. If you don’t currently have authorization to work in the U.S., you’ll need to obtain authorization prior to being hired. Only select roles are eligible for sponsorship and will be determined once a hiring decision has been made. Learn more about work authorization and sponsorship.

  • Where are Central roles located?

Most Central Team members are located at our Central Offices in Oklahoma. Our goal is to maintain the culture and collaboration of our church and team, and we believe that's best done in person.

  • Can I apply for multiple roles?

At Life.Church, we believe it’s more than a job—it’s a calling. While you can apply for more than one role, we encourage you to prayerfully apply for the role you feel most aligns with your skills, experience, and interests.

  • I’ve submitted my application, now what?

Once you’ve submitted your application, you’ll receive a confirmation email. Every applicant receives a response via email, regardless of whether they’re offered a position. We receive a lot of applications and personally review each one, so it could take some time to hear back. We do our best to have timely responses at each stage in the process.

It could take an average of four weeks to make it through our interview process.

  • What’s the interview process for Central and YouVersion roles?

All applications are personally reviewed by our Hiring Leaders. Qualified candidates progress through the interview process: a phone screen, initial interview, and pre-employment testing. The final interview can be in person at our Central Offices or via video, and will always involve the candidate and their spouse/fiancé. Certain positions may require additional assessments, which are completed online.

The interview process is one of our best opportunities to get to know your potential and for you to get to know our team and culture. In most cases, you’ll meet with the hiring manager and a variety of other team members. Throughout the process, you’ll have a chance to get to know our team and ask us questions.

We have final interview events for pastoral roles where we bring in all candidates and their spouses/fiancés to our Central Offices for a two-day event (Sunday- Monday). These events are scheduled every 3-4 months, and ministry leaders will communicate the timing of the final interview during the process.
